On June 28, 2022, MC Library will migrate to a new version of RaptorSearch. Faculty who have linked to certain library materials (items in the old version of RaptorSearch, the MC Library Catalog, or Journals by Title) may need to update their links when the new RaptorSearch launches. Follow these steps to identify and complete any needed updates:

  1. Consult the chart below to learn if you are responsible for updating any links. In some cases, the updating will be done for you.
  2. If so, you must wait until June 28, 2022 to replace the links. On or after June 28:
    1. Navigate to the library's website.
    2. Use the search bar (RaptorSearch) to search for the item to which you need to link.
    3. Upon finding the item, click the permalink button (the chain link icon).
    4. Copy the permalink.
    5. Navigate to the location of the link you are replacing and update the URL with the URL copied in step 4.
    6. Repeat for any additional links.

If you have any questions or need assistance, library employees are ready to help. You can book an appointment (either online or in-person) with the librarian who specializes in your academic subject on your campus, or contact us through the library's 24/7 chat service. Links to both resources are below.
