PubMed

PubMed is a biomedical literature database which contains the abstracts of publications in the database. PubMed also lists more articles than are contained in PubMed Central.  So, although they look similar, they do give different search results.

PubMed Central

PubMed Central is a full text repository which contains the full text of publications in the database.
