  • ‚ÄčPubMed is a biomedical literature database which contains the abstracts of publications in the database.
  • PubMed Central is a full text repository, which contains the full text of publications in the database.
  • PubMed also lists more articles than are contained in PubMed Central.  So, although they look similar, they do give different search results.  You can see their information sheet here: https://www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/difference.html.
