No, MC Library does not mail books to students. Students are required to come to the library and check out the item using their MC ID card.
However, the library does purchase e-books that students can access 24/7/365 from any device with any internet connection. You will need your M number in order to access e-books if you are working from an off-campus location. Community users will need to visit one of the library locations to access e-books.
To access MC Library e-books:
- Search for your topic or item in RaptorSearch.
- On the search results screen, use the filters on the left side of the page: "Limit to: Online Access" and "Source Type: Books." Make sure to click the "Apply Filters" button.
- Hint: if you need to change your search terms, click the "Remember All Filters" button at the top of the filters menu so you don't have to re-apply the filters after a new search.
- Click on the title of the book you'd like to read.
- Scroll down to the View All Online Options section and select any of the sources listed to read the e-book.
- From an off-campus location, you'll be prompted to enter your M number to access.
