No, MC Library does not mail books to students. Students are required to come to the library and check out the item using their MC ID card.

However, the library does purchase e-books that students can access 24/7/365 from any device with any internet connection. You will need your M number in order to access e-books if you are working from an off-campus location. Community users will need to visit one of the library locations to access e-books.

To access MC Library e-books:

  1. Search for your topic or item in RaptorSearch
  2. On the search results screen, use the filters on the left side of the page: "Limit to: Online Access" and "Source Type: Books." Make sure to click the "Apply Filters" button.
    1. Hint: if you need to change your search terms, click the "Remember All Filters" button at the top of the filters menu so you don't have to re-apply the filters after a new search.
  3. Click on the title of the book you'd like to read.
  4. Scroll down to the View All Online Options section and select any of the sources listed to read the e-book.
  5. From an off-campus location, you'll be prompted to enter your M number to access.
