Where to Start

  • Two library pro/con databases to begin your search are:
    • Opposing Viewpoints - a complete one-stop source for information on social issues. Access viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to websites, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles.
    • SIRS Issues Researcher - a general reference database containing full-text articles exploring social, scientific, health, historic, business, economic, political and global issues.

If you are searching the databases from off-campus, you will be asked to log-in using your M number. For additional sources and topic ideas, access the library's Current Issues Research Subject Guide. For assistance, chat, text, or call by navigating to Ask Us.
