Keyword searching is a search using any word or series of words related to the topic you are researching. For example searching "global warming" in the search box of a particular database will yield all records with the word "global warming" found in the abstract field or text of the article. Remember that you may want to use different keywords to find exactly what you are looking for or add keywords to your initial search to narrow your results. For example you can limit your search on "global warming" by using the following search:
"global warming" and "united states"
Or you can change the keywords and search:
"climate change" and pollution
As you read the research, you may find other keywords to use to help you locate the specific information you want for your paper.
