The concept map allows you to see related topics or identify terminology used with your topic.  It is also very useful in helping users to narrow or widen a search or to browse other closely related topics.  Users can mouse over the word entries to see a short intro to the topic and see which source the information is from.  The best way to understand the concept map is to watch the very short video attached to this answer.
