Answer

Only circulating items that are checked out can have a hold placed on them.  From the Library online catalog, click on the title that is checked out.  On the right side of the record in blue box, click on Make a Request.  You will then need to log-in using your MC ID number.  You will then click on Make a Hold and fill out the information requested. The item will then be returned at the due date.  The user who has the book will not be allowed to renew so the person placing the hold will be the next one who can check out the item.
