There are many different sources to locate statistics or census information such as the U.S. Census Bureau.  To locate these resources, the MC Library provides a Statistics Research Subject Guide with links to a varety of sources useful for finding statistics on the U.S. including the percentage of U.S. population living below the poverty line.  If you still cannot find the answer, please ask a reference librarian at your campus library for further assistance.
