How do I find an article?
The MC Libraries provide access to full-text articles online and paper. The quickest way to find articles on your topic is to search our online databases. The Library subscribes to many databases and some are subject specific. To decide which database to use, you may want to start with our Databases by Subject listing. This list is found on the Library Web page using the tab Articles & Databases located above the search box. Click on this tab and you will see links to our databases. Databases by Subject is the first link on the list.
Once you click on this, you will see all our subjects. Depending on the topic of your research, you will decide which subject fits your needs. Click on that subject to see the databases specific for that area of research. Then click on the database you choose and type your keywords into the search box provided. The search will result in a list of articles from many different sources such as journals, magazines, and newspapers. Read the articles, choose the articles that you need, and then you can either print out the article or e-mail it to yourself for later use. Just remember, if you are doing your research off campus, you will be asked to log-in using your MC I.D.
If you need further assistance, please contact the Reference Librarian at your campus library.
